From AI Logo Tool to AI Design Workspace

We started with logos. With Canvas 2.0 as the foundation, we're shifting Hiding Elephant into a full AI design workspace, and this is the direction we're building toward.

If you found us through an older post about AI logos, you’re in the right place, and the product is growing.

We started Hiding Elephant with a clear, focused problem: help designers create better logos with AI, then refine them with real editing control. That early work shaped who we are. It also taught us something important.

Logo design was never the whole job.

The real work is creative production: explore ideas, generate assets, clean them up, keep everything consistent, repeat the process across a campaign, and get finished files out the door.

So we’re shifting the product toward that bigger job.

The shift we’re making

Hiding Elephant began as an AI logo tool. We’re becoming an AI design workspace.

Not overnight. Not by abandoning what already works. By building on the foundation we just put in place with Hiding Elephant 2.0: a stronger prompt experience and a real canvas where generation and editing can live together.

That canvas is the start of the workspace. The next chapters are about making production feel continuous: from first idea to finished deliverable, without bouncing between five tools.

Why this direction

Early on, logos were the sharpest way to prove a point: AI can generate unique creative directions, and designers still need precise tools to finish the work.

As people used Hiding Elephant for more than marks and wordmarks (product scenes, ads, social crops, campaign kits), the gaps became obvious:

  • Generation without finishing tools is a dead end
  • Finishing tools without brand and product context create inconsistency
  • One-off canvas work doesn’t scale when you need dozens of variants
  • Teams need shared spaces, not only isolated projects
  • Production isn’t done until assets are ready to deliver

So we’re expanding around the whole path, not just the first prompt.

Where we’re headed

Here’s the workspace we’re building toward:

  1. Create with AI: generate strong visual directions quickly
  2. Refine on a vector canvas: keep designer-grade control over the finish
  3. Stay consistent: reuse brand and product context across outputs
  4. Repeat what works: turn successful setups into systems you can run again
  5. Create with your team: collaborate, review, and ship together

Some of that is already taking shape in the canvas. More of it is still ahead. We’ll share those pieces as they land, not as a vague roadmap dump, but as real product milestones.

What this means if you’re here for logos

You can still design logos here. Generation, vector refinement, and cleanup remain important.

Logo and brand exploration concepts in Hiding Elephant

But if you only think of Hiding Elephant as “an AI logo tool,” you’ll underestimate where we’re going. Logos are one use case. The workspace is the product we’re building.

Who we’re building for

We’re focused on people who need to move fast without giving up craft:

  • Designers who want AI speed with real editing control
  • Marketing and ecommerce teams producing lots of visual variants
  • Agencies juggling brand systems and client delivery

If your day looks like “generate → fix → repeat → deliver,” this shift is for you.

What’s next

We’ll keep writing as the workspace comes together: the canvas going deeper, and the production layers around it arriving over time.

If you’re new here, start with Hiding Elephant 2.0 or jump into the canvas.

We still believe the same thing we believed on day one: AI should enhance designers, not replace them. The best creative work still comes from people. AI just helps them get there faster. The workspace is how we’re making that true at production scale.
